Not impressed with Palin on SNL

Among the McCain-Obama campaign, Colin Powell's endorsment, and Joe The Plummer headlines, national news stations continue to talk about Sarah Palin's appearance on Saturday Night Live (SNL). The much anticipated appearance didn't turn out the way most people expected: Fake Palin vs. Real Palin.

Sarah Palin's appearance generated the highest ratings for SNL since 1994. However, her part in the show was a big flop. I felt the show would've been great the way it did without Palin's appearance as she has done nothing. I felt that she was forced to be there and try to be "cool" with what they do. Hey, they are getting popular now with the Palin skits, right? So no big deal, hopefully it will help her campagin. Not so sure about that.

I was hoping that Sarah Palin and Tina Fey would come face to face and maybe have a competition like jeapordy or something, you know, testing their IQ. Isn't her ignorance the big joke? I would've called the skit, "The battle of Palin vs. Palin". They just walked past each other. What the hell was that???? It was the WEAKEST opening ever. Sure, I'll give Palin points for being at SNL where mostly everyone is against her but was it funny: No.

I really enjoyed the rap song during the "Weekend Update" segment. I thought that very pregnant Amy Poehler did an amazing job and I cared less for Palin rocking out to the music. Who from SNL's big brains okayed this? Icertainly don't think that her throwing her hands into the air is cute. It would've been funny if Amy or Seth Meyers called Tina Fey as Palin to sing the song. Now that would be interesting.

SNL played it safe, maybe too safe for this politician. We'll I guess the Palin jokes end now.

A tout a l'heure it was indeed

A tout a l'heure it was indeed
Wow, it's been about five months since I posted and many things had happened. Hmm...well, all I can say are these to sum up the highlights:
- The stock market needs a CPR.
- I didn't know that Obama and McCain are "funny".
- Sarah Palin should be given an award for inspiring SNL to become funny again. Oh, and one for the screwed up economy (watch the "Macgyver" parody on SNL called "McGruber" in 10/18/08 epsiode).
- Joe "The Plummer" isn't really a plummer and one that certainly does not represent me.
- $720 billion bailout for stupidity. Are you f*(%*@(# kidding me?
- The McCain campagin should offer free History and etiqutte courses in their rallies for its supporters.
- Did Suze Orman escape from the Wax Musuem?

I'm sure there are more, but it's too late to list them. It's late and I need to go to sleep.

Stop with the "Is this news" crap!!!!

Don't you hate it when your phone rings and you:
- are sleeping
- are ready to enjoy the your "kick-ass" lunch you made.
- are about to go to the restroom.
- realize you need to take a nap.

In all these events, you'll question, "Should I pick up the phone now or have the answer machine answer? What if it's an emergency? WHAT IF?" You'll get up, pick up the reciever and find out its your local newspaper calling with their crappiest deal ever!

Despite the number of times I said I'm not interested and please remove me from your calling list, they will tend to disturb me over and over again. But here's the question, "Why should I pay for something that I can get for free online?"

All the sections of the newspaper are posted online and what I like about it is the comments section at the end of the news stories. It's interesting to see what people say. What I found absurd and disturbs the hell out of me is the "Is this news?" comment.

Seriously, "Is this news?" Well, is it? It is certainly a fine piece of article of information based on a certain event that had taken place today. It was either informative, entertaining, disturbing, or bewildering...so...hmm...I don't really know. Maybe we should ask someone who reads real "news."

News and Purpose

I haven't been paying attention to news lately though I do read the news online. Just random stories here and there. I haven't found anything of quality to blog about. It's either that or I'm just to lazy to.

I looked back at my posts and started to question the purpose of my blog page. I realized that I mainly wrote about entertainment. Is that it? I also realized that I would like to be a journalist. I'm not sure if I want to report on international stories or entertainment although it's a bit obvious which direction I'm heading. I like writing, something I never thought I'd like to do. Umm...i'm really not sure what's the purpose of this post.

Hmmm....it appears, ladies and gentlemen, that this is a filler blog.

A tout a l'heure.

Madonna and Justin Timberlake???

Well, congrats to JT for working with another major artist.

JT featured in Madonnas new single "4 Minutes". All I have to say is this - It was weird seeing Madonna dance this way to this type of music.

Cher didn't have enough of Tom Cruise

So what if you dated someone in the past. Let him be a high school crush, a former business partner, the president or even Tom Cruise. Who the hell cares?

I'm not sure what Cher is really trying to get out of from talking about her lovely relationship with now married Top Gun actor Tom Cruise. I guess, he was her "mission impossible". I don't see her writing a biography any time soon, so what gives?

"He was a shy boy," she said in an Oprah interview airing on May 8. Forget about the no sense two part Tom Cruise's Oprah interview, it's ridiculous to see how much publicity this is getting. I'm pretty sure it's causing him more harm than good. Ugh, Will somebody please shut this woman up? Enough about Tom Cruise. Okay, you dated him once, that's it. Get over it and move on sistah! I guess she is coding him, "Do you believe in love after love?"

Publicity is getting whack yo!

Gary Coleman on the Divorce Court Show?

Seriously, how desperate is this guy?
